Cheshire man charged with possession of knife and assault in Crewe

A Winsford man has been charged with the possession of a knife, common assault and bail offences, after being caught 'acting suspiciously' in Crewe.

On Saturday 2 December, Cheshire Police response officers became concerned my a male's behaviour on Lord Street.

At 3am, officers stopped and searched the man. Checks showed the suspect was previously involved in an assault and an incident involving a lock knife in Crewe.

Cheshire Police officers stopped and searched Steven McFee on Lord Street at 3am on Saturday 2 December (Nub News).

Steven McFee, from Winsford, was arrested at the scene.

The Cheshire man has since been charged with possession of a bladed article, a section 39 assault and also bail offences.

Mcfee appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 4 December.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 3am on Saturday 2 December, response officers were patrolling in the Crewe South sector when they noticed a male acting suspiciously on Lord Street.

"The male was stopped and searched.

"Checks showed he was a suspect in an assault and also an incident involving a lock knife previously in Crewe. He was subsequently arrested.

Steven McFee, from Winsford, has been charged with possession of a bladed article, common assault and bail offences (Cheshire Police).

Crewe Nub News has contacted South Cheshire Magistrates' Court for comment.
