Man and woman charged following incident at Crewe shop
A Crewe man and woman have been charged after stealing items from a convenience store in the town, opposite Grand Junction Retail Park.
On Saturday 18 May, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident at Burrows Store, Earle Street.
A man and woman had stolen a number of items from the shop and were soon detained and arrested by officers.
James Anthony Lyons, 42, from Crewe, was charged with one count of theft from a shop.
Michaela Francesca Bartlett, 46, also of Crewe, was charged with two counts of theft from shop and possession of a Class C drug.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "A local male and female have been charged after an incident at a convenience store on the Grand Junction Retail Park in Crewe.
"On Saturday, 18 May, we received a report of a male and female who had stolen items from a convenience store in Crewe.
"James Anthony Lyons, 42, of Crewe West, has been charged with one count of theft from shop.
"Michaela Francesca Bartlett, 46, of Crewe Central, has been charged with two counts of theft from shop and possession of a Class C drug.
"Lyons and Bartlett appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Monday 20 May."
