MEMBERS of a new social enterprise company have spent time sprucing up Crewe's former Flag Lane Baths.
They were taking part in their first #DonatableDay aimed at encouraging local businesses to engage with the community.
Flag Lane Baths has been earmarked for government Towns Fund cash to transform it into a community hub under the umbrella of the Lighthouse Centre charity on Stewart Street.
Donatable members spent a day litter picking, weeding and sweeping and then built some new steps to make the site safe and presentable with the future use in mind.
Donatable Co-founder Debbie Owen said: "Everyone did a fantastic job and we received some lovely feedback and thanks from the Lighthouse Centre."
Donatable offers marketing support services while at the same time reinvests its profits back into the community.
The Rev. David Edwards from the Lighthouse Centre said: "The saying goes that many hands make light work and for me it's been a privilege having the business community come and support the Flag Lane Baths project.
"The baths means so much to the local Crewe community as many people learnt how to swim here. To see the facility restored once again will be a terrific thing for the whole community."
