Bus company adds new weekday evening journey from Cheshire West to Crewe in major changes

A major bus company has added a new weekday evening journey from Cheshire West to Crewe, in a revised timetable coming into effect next week.

The 31 D&G (Northwich to Crewe) service will be adding a late journey from Winsford to Crewe from Monday 5 February.

This additional journey will depart Winsford Library at 8:36pm (Monday to Friday), arriving at Leighton Hospital for 9:06pm and getting into Crewe for 9:18pm.

The 5:50am Crewe to Northwich weekday service will depart 10 minutes earlier, with the 6:50am service departing five minutes earlier (Ryan Parker).

In other weekday charges, the 5:50am Crewe to Northwich service will depart 10 minutes earlier, with the 6:50am service departing five minutes earlier.

During afternoons the 3:03pm and 6:08pm service will run 10 minutes later, the 4:03pm service will run 20 minutes later and the the 5:03pm service will run 30 minutes later.

From Northwich to Crewe, the 6:35am service will run 15 minutes earlier, with the 2:50pm service departing five minutes later.

The 3:50pm service will run 10 minutes later, the 4:50pm service will depart 25 minutes later and the 5:50pm service will run 35 minutes later.

The 6:50pm Northwich to Crewe service will no longer run, with the 8:46pm Winsford to Crewe service coming into effect.

A D&G statement read: "Some weekday journeys in the morning will run earlier, and some journeys in the afternoon will run later.

From Northwich to Crewe, the 6:35am weekday service will run 15 minutes earlier, with the 2:50pm service departing five minutes later (D&G).

"We have given extra time at key points where we have been experiencing traffic congestion, particularly around Leighton Hospital and Winsford.

"We have also added an additional weekday evening journey between Winsford and Crewe.

"Bus times during the middle of the day on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays, remain unchanged."
