An award-winning national training business has officially launched in Crewe - located close to the town centre.

Acorn Training, Chapel Street, opened its doors for the first time on Monday 15 May - bringing its person-centred training and employment services to the local area.

Located in the former Iris Vision Resource Centre building, off Edleston Road, the Acorn Training centre will serve as a hub of support for the community.

Acorn Training will deliver adult learning courses from Chapel Street - providing online and classroom-based teaching (Nub News).

With 10 other centres across the North West and Midlands, Acorn Training is renowned for delivering its specialist support to those from disadvantaged backgrounds and minority groups.

The company provides tailored support to customers through the delivery of fully-funded adult education, employability services and learning opportunities.

Acorn Training enables people to access work within a range of different industries and sectors.

The new Crewe company will deliver adult learning courses from Chapel Street - providing online and classroom-based teaching.

Acorn Training has 10 other training centres located across the North West and Midlands (Nub News).

Acorn Training will also be supporting those battling mental health, physical health conditions, people from disadvantaged backgrounds, ex-offenders and minority groups.

The national company has won multiple awards for diversity and inclusivity - including Network of the Year at the World Skills UK Diversity & Inclusion Awards in 2021.

Crewe's Acorn team will be reaching out to local employers to develop collaborative relationships to help them to fill job vacancies.

This end-to-end recruitment service will come at no cost to the employers - encouraging sustainable employment and reducing staff turnover rates.

Acorn managing director, Gareth Saldanha-Fallows, was delighted to be expanding to Crewe.

He told Nub News: "We are delighted to be expanding our footprint to Crewe, bringing our strong core values and inclusive ethos to provide opportunities to individuals from all backgrounds.

"This geographical expansion of our services is an important step towards helping more people to upskill and secure sustainable employment.

"The new centre will serve as a welcoming and safe space to give the community access to education, skills and support for life and work.
