Another case of suspected arson in Crewe - wheelbarrow set alight close to town centre

Cheshire firefighters were called to an incident in Crewe over the weekend - believed to have been another case of arson in a similar area.
Rescue Fire and Rescue Service were notified of a fire on Dunwoody Way, Crewe at 6:11pm yesterday (May 15).
One fire engine from Crewe attended the scene and discovered a wheelbarrow set alight.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue service spokesperson said: "Another suspected case of arson in the county as firefighters put out a wheelbarrow on Dunwoody Way.
"The wheelbarrow contained branches on fire, which was put out with a hose reel jet.
"The crew asked police to attend due to the suspected deliberate ignition."
This incident comes just weeks after Crewe firefighters were notified of a small but serious fire in land off Dunwoody Way on Sunday (April 24),

The fire also believed to have been deliberate, happened in a wooded area, close to McDonald's fast food restaurant.
A water backpack and a hose jet reel to put out the flames.

Elsewhere in Crewe on May 15, a car was reported on fire at the junction of Weston Road with the A500 Shavington Bypass.
Police closed the affected side of the road while firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using a hose reel jet.
One fire engine from Alsager attended the scene and put out the flames.
