A new "party" pub and bar for the general public is set to launch at Crewe's university site this September, as changes continue at the South Cheshire campus.

Magic Cheers, located at The Hub on Apollo Buckingham Health Sciences Campus, Crewe Green Road, will officially launch on Thursday 25 September, with parking free.

Operated by Mrs Amudha Mangamalai, from India, Magic Cheers is an expansion of Curry Magic, a South Indian eatery successfully trading on Nantwich Road and also now inside The Hub.

Amudha told Nub News: "Magic Cheers will open to the general public on Thursday 25 September, and builds on the success of Magic Curry restaurant.

"We now operate a restaurant inside The Hub on the university campus, with the new pub and bar set to be an expansion of this.

"Magic Cheers will be a party venue for the people of Crewe and surrounding area to come and celebrate events, enjoy a few pints, play table tennis and pool and more.

"We will offer a wide variety of drinks, from beers to wines and spirits. There will also be soft drinks available.

"It is in our plans to get a live music area set up. We will not be showing things like live sport.

"Customers will be able to park here for free by just providing us with their vehicle registration.

Magic Cheers will be open until 11pm, seven days a week, with table tennis tables, pool and more (Ryan Parker).

"Crewe is definitely growing again and we want to be as big part of that, we now own a number of businesses on Nantwich Road.

"In this area of town there aren't many actual pubs. We can offer people our tasty food from Curry Magic, which is a lot more than just South Indian food. There is something here for everyone."

Magic Cheers will be open until 11pm, seven days a week, with Magic Curry open 8am to 8pm at The Hub and 11am to 10pm on Nantwich Road
