Crewe Bowling Club is planning to extend its opening hours, offering the supply of alcohol, live music and recorded music until midnight on Saturdays.

On Monday 10 February, Crewe Bowling Club applied for a variation to its club premises certificate on behalf of its premises at 21a Stanhope Avenue.

The crown green bowling club seeks permission for the supply of alcohol, Monday to Friday, 11am to 11pm, Saturday, 11am to 12am and Sunday, 12pm to 10.30pm.

On Monday 10 February, Crewe Bowling Club applied for a variation to its club premises certificate on behalf of its premises at 21a Stanhope Avenue (Ryan Parker).

Operating since 1898 and at its current site since the early 1900s, Crewe Bowling Club caters for both league bowlers and those to want to bowl just for fun.

Crewe Bowling Club has a popular clubhouse with year-round events and activities, hence the new premises licence application.

The club also seeks to extend is live music and recorded music Saturday hours from 11pm to midnight.

Crewe Bowling Club's licensing application is on display at the Stanhope Avenue facility.

The premises license application reads: "Notice is hereby given that I, Crewe Bowling Club have applied on 10 February 2025 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Crewe Bowling Club, 21a Stanhope Avenue, Crewe.

"This is for a variation to a club premises certificate to provide live music, Saturday, 11pm to 12am, recorded music, Saturday 11pm to 12am and supply of alcohol, Monday to Friday 11am to 11pm, Saturday, 11am to 12am and Sunday, 12pm to 10.30pm."

Representations to Crewe Bowling Club's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Monday 10 March.
