Facelift for Crewe flooring store
By Louis Hancock 1st Sep 2026
Eddie Davies, owner and manager of United Carpets in Crewe, has recently undertaken a refresh of the shop's signage which fronts on to the busy Nantwich Road.
To help celebrate the new look, Graham Saunders, General Manager of South Cheshire Glass, and Chair of Crewe BID, cut the blue ribbon to mark the event.
South Cheshire Glass celebrated their 50th anniversary last year, and Graham, who has been with them for 14 years, told Eddie that many years ago he'd had a Saturday job at the carpet store! As Chair of Crewe BID he works with several stakeholder groups to help fund events in the town, undertake improvements such as cleaning programmes, and increased retail security.
"It's nice to see a long established company that is looking to the future and investing in their business," he said.
Eddie explained that the external paint had been red for a long while. "It was time for a change, and we wanted to tie it in with the general corporate re-brand which went from red and yellow to dark and light blues. We've already had lots of comments from customers who like the new look!"
