A Crewe head of HR worker is pleased with their 'busy' first year at a large family-run car company in the town - supporting changes across the business.
On Monday 12 June, Swansway Motor Group congratulated Donna Winrow on her first anniversary with the business.
Donna joined Swansway Motor Group as head of HR in May 2022, and since then has been hard at work supporting changes across the business.
The changes have seen Swansway employees enjoy enhanced employee benefits, including increased holiday allowance, improved family policies and the reintroduction of the company's car benefit scheme.
Along with improvements made to employee benefits, Donna has worked closely with departments across the group to make positive changes to the business's processes.
Swansway Motor Group says it understands the importance of supporting their employees when it comes to their physical and mental well-being.
The group have plans to encourage more team members to train as Mental Health First Aiders, offering more support across the business.
Donna has worked closely with the internal training team, taking the offering from purely sales training to training across the board for all members of the Swansway team.
This enriched training offering will give Swansway team members more opportunities to learn new skills and progress in their careers.
Speaking to Donna about her first year at Swansway Motor Group, she said: "It's been a busy year where no two days are the same.
"There's been a lot of projects undertaken in such a short space of time.
"But, it's been very rewarding to see the results of these projects and how they have improved our team members lives both in and outside of the business."
Outside of life at Swansway, Donna volunteers her time as a secretary and fundraiser for a local initiative that maintains a nearby park.
Donna's work with the park sees a crossover with her work at Swansway - most recently using the free Swansway activity packs for an event at the park.
Moving into the future, Donna is looking forward to continuing the work that has started over the last 12 months.
She added: "Working alongside the board of directors, we will create and implement a people plan based on the results of our recent internal survey and in line with our caring, honest and proud values."
