Reports to: Meals & Welfare Service Lead
Location: Wishing Well, Jubilee House (Crewe), deliveries across south/mid Cheshire.
Job Purpose: To deliver meals and welfare support for customers of our Daily Meals Delivery service. Holding the highest levels of kindness, empathy and understanding to support potentially the most vulnerable people that The Wishing Well reach.
Employment Terms: Fixed Contract 10 hours a week (5 days a week for 2 hours a day)
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Key Responsibilities or Duties:
- Safe delivery of meals into the local community
- Health, safety, welfare and wellbeing checks of local residents
- Raise any incidences of ill-health, fire safety issues or safeguarding matters
- Gather customer and colleague feedback to help inform menu options
- Support and advocacy of Wishing Well services to improve health and wellbeing
Special Features of the Role:
Full UK Driver's Licence is required for this position.
Availability to work Saturdays is required for this position.
An Enhanced DBS Check is required for this position (this can be carried out by The Wishing Well)
All staff and volunteers at The Wishing Well are encouraged to contribute to identifying and meeting their own job-related development needs. This will be achieved through a variety of processes including regular 1-2-1's with Line Managers or the Chief Operating Officer, annual appraisal and development reviews.
Each employee must co-operate and attend all appropriate mandatory and statutory training as required by the organisation and /or their professional bodies.

Promote and foster the charities' reputation and standing within the community and with private, statutory and voluntary sector agencies and organisations.
Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required.
The philosophy of The Wishing Well is based on a multi-skilled, cross-departmental approach.
Colleagues regardless of grade or discipline, are required to participate in this concept. The role of our volunteers is integral with the work of The Wishing Well and paid staff are required to underpin this in their attitude and actions.
