A Crewe primary school pupil has seen her winning design painted onto a bench, officially unveiled at St Mary's Caritas Centre in the town.
Olivia, aged 10, of Beechwood Primary School, Meredith Street, entered the competition organised by Co-op and saw her design selected from approaching 250 entries.
Classmates joined Olivia to see the bench, which includes the words 'everyone belongs in Crewe' - painted and installed on Delamere Street.
The children received a certificate and art materials, and the school also received a donation of £150 from Co-op.
Assistant head of Beechwood Primary School, Rachel Geary, told Nub News: "We were delighted for Olivia, it was a very special occasion for the class to see the artwork come to life in the community.
"The school is always exploring ways to enrich the curriculum and build connections in the community, we were delighted to work with Co-op on this project and, with all its support."
For every £1 Co-op members spend on selected Co-op products and services, 2p goes back to members and Co-op gives the same to support community organisations and local causes.
