Tom's Tap & Brewhouse Annual Cider Festival 2024

Cider Festival - doors open Friday 24th May at 4pm

It's that time of year again where the apple blossom heralds a season of mellow fruitfulness later in the year. It is also the time of year we have our annual Cider Festival. We will be sampling the products of some outstanding cider and perry makers at our annual festival with guided tastings from Tom Oliver and Kath Potter both renowned throughout the world of cider and perry.

If you think you know about cider and perry then think again. There are a wide range of styles and flavours to choose from which may win over the most ardent beer drinker. Furthermore we will be laying on live entertainment from We are Nomad and Fraktal Glass.

Friday 24th May – We are Nomad [8:30pm] Admission Free – Donations Welcome

We are Nomad effortlessly move between original compositions, classic folk-rock and Irish folk tunes. All seasoned with a smattering of jazz, blues and prog rock. Enjoy!

Saturday 25th May – Guided Cider & Perry Tasting with Tom Oliver [8pm] Admission £20

Tom Oliver, widely known as the godfather of British Artisan Cider is coming to Tom's to talk us through six ciders and perries.

Sunday 26th May – Exploring Cider with Master Pommelier Cath Potter [4pm] Admission £20

Welcome to a guided tasting for both cider and non-cider drinkers alike by expert pommelier Cath Potter. Throughout the session, attendees will have the opportunity to taste a carefully curated selection of handpicked ciders showcasing the range and complexity they have to offer.

Sunday 26th May – Cyber Cider Sunday with Fraktal Glass [8pm] Admission Free – Donations Welcome

Cider and synths? It's the future! Chill-out and relax with a refreshing Cider or Perry (beer and other drinks are also available) to the ambient soundscapes of Fraktal Glass. Join us for a journey into audio Nirvana and cosmic grooviness. Think Brian Eno meets Blade Runner via Tangerine Dream.

Cheese platters are available from the bar for those who fancy a nibble with there drink.

Although the live music is free we will be putting the "hat" around to cover the artists expenses. Please give generously.
