Heritage Open Days 2024: "Routes – Networks – Connections" (6th-15th September)

The free-to-access Heritage Open Days event runs in September each year and is a national festival celebrating local grass roots heritage, making it accessible to local communities.

2024 is a year of heritage anniversaries for Crewe:

  • 170 years since the Cheese Hall (Market Hall) opened
  • 145 years since the Bells and Clock were added to Christ Church
  • 130 years since St. Peter's (Earle St) was dedicated
  • 125 years since Crewe Electricity Works opened
  • 100 years since the Britannia statue was erected

With 20 activities on offer this year, you can get involved with walks, talks, exhibitions, open buildings and activity workshops! Visit our website for full programme details.

The Crewe Heritage Fair will take place at Crewe Heritage Centre on Saturday 14th September.
