WISTASTON A started off their Slazenger South and Mid Cheshire Tennis League Summer campaign with victory.

The league resumed last week after a Covid-19 delay. Players are still being asked not to socialise off court and to wash their hands before entering and after leaving the courts.

Wistaston A beat visitors Goostrey A 6.5-1.5 in their Men's Division Two clash with Oliver Cox, Ryan Harper-Griffiths, Chris Raiswell and George Raiswell flying the flag for the hosts.

Wistaston are also fielding teams in Men's Division Four (Wistaston B) and Men's Division Five (Wistaston C).

George Raiswell, club captain and Wistaston A captain, said: "It was great to be back playing competitive matches and the summer league brings so much fun."

Fixtures, results and tables are updated during the year via the League website.
