CREWE FC are still seeking their first win of 2022 after they went down to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Eagle Sports.

Now under the new management team of Jack Turner and Adam Clayton, Crewe FC hit back to level before the break through Josh Lane at the Cumberland Arena.

But a second-half penalty from Adam Coleman clinched it for the Warrington-based visitors in the CHESHIRE LEAGUE Premier Division clash.

Crewe FC currently stand 15th out of 18 clubs in the table.

Crewe FC Reserves were also in action at the Cumberland, playing on the astro-turf, and ran up an 8-0 scoreline against Newton Le Willows Reserves.

Ryan Moss netted a hat-trick and Joe Armstrong a double, a result which keeps their side third in the table.

In the CREWE REGIONAL SUNDAY LEAGUE there were Premier Division successes for Betley, Raven, Talbot and George and Dragon.

Talbot beat Cheshire Cheese 2-1 thanks to strikes from Ryan Moss and Luke Robinson. Dale Campbell replied for the visitors.

George and Dragon won 5-0 at Willaston White Star with goals from Andy Houston (2), Nick Newman, Joe Duckworth and Olly McDonough, a result which moves them up to third place in the League table with six games in hand on leaders The Lions, whose home fixture with Faddiley was called off.

Second-placed Betley beat NHB 2-0 with goals from Danny Lavalette and Gareth Ratcliffe.

Raven Salvador enjoyed a 4-1 victory against Winnington SC. Jason Nolan netted twice and Robsan Osman and Tom Edge were also on the sheet.

Shaun Bradley got the consolation for the visitors.

Division One's top two, Audlem and Winsford Over, met with the home side emerging victorious by a 3-2 margin from a feisty game.

The visitors took an early lead with a goal from Will Igoe.

But Audlem hit back when they were awarded an indirect free kick in the penalty area following "inappropriate language" to the referee. Nick Gregory netted and later added a further two goals to complete his hat trick as Audlem went three points clear at the top.

They also had the luxury of missing a penalty kick, while Tom Stanton scored the other goal for Winsford Over.

Tristan Sword netted a brace to help Cooper Buckley to a 5-2 win over White Horse.

The other goals came from Ashley Edwards, Luke Gillan and Matt King. Tom Royle and Dan Walford scored for the Horse.

Ruskin Park must have felt like they were walking the plank as they were thrashed 10-2 by Nantwich Pirates. Wayne Garnett and Joey Hilton both helped themselves to doubles while Luke Dunlea, Sam Cadwallader, Sam Roger, Keiron Jones, Andy Truan and Mikey Truan added to the one-sided mauling.

Jarvis Jones and Joe Lightfoot scored for Ruskin.

Sandbach Town beat JS Bailey 5-2 with goals from Matt Dalton, Henry Baker, Lewis Renshaw, Jake Holland and Harrison Bostock. Greg Shepherd and Tobias Dickson scored for JS Bailey.

And Princes Feathers beat Leighton FC 2-1, with Ethan Stockall netting both goals for the Winsford-based outfit.

CREWE AND DISTRICT LEAGUE leaders Sandbach Curshaws were held to a 1-1 draw in their local derby clash with Sandbach Town.

Mike Buckley was on the mark for Town with Tom Cotton replying for the visitors.

Elsewhere, ever-improving Mary Dendy denied FC Bollington of closing the gaps at the top of the table with a 1-1 draw.

The AFC Crewe versus Crewe Wanderers fixture was postponed due to Covid in the AFC Crewe camp.

Second-placed Sandbach Town Ramblers wasted the chance of drawing level on points with Curshaws as they succumbed to a surprise 2-1 loss at home against Crewe Town.

Rhys Wright and Ryan Tompkinson scored for Crewe Town to put their side in contention for end-of-season honours. James Johnson was the Ramblers' goalscorer.
