CREWE Regional Sunday League teams restarted after lockdown under a new format.

The main campaign has been null and voided after three teams said they did not want to complete the season, which was paused last December. In its place Premier Division sides left will play home and away with the top two receiving an award, while there are two groups for Division One teams and the top two in each will compete for a place in an end-of-season final.

In the Premier set-up Ben Brown scored a hat-trick as George and Dragon cruised to a 4-1 victory over Betley. Terry Cain netted the other goal.

The Raven triumphed 3-2 at Faddiley with goals from Josh Heath, Gary Pownall and new signing Tom Edge. Rich Ford and Rich Ryan replied for the hosts.

In Division One, C & N Utd. drew 2-2 with Winnington Social Club. Chris Worstencroft and Secretary Tom Lloyd scored for the home team, with Joel Hind netted both goals for the visitors.

The match between Nantwich Pirates and Princes Feathers was decided by a solitary strike from Keiron Jones to win it for The Pirates.

Sydney Arms beat Talbot 3-2, thanks to a Ben Reddock hat-trick, with Olly Moore and Jordan Cotterell on target for the visitors.

Broadhurst FC cantered to a 7-0 win at White Horse with Brad West hitting a hat-trick and Taylor Kennerley a brace. Danny Griffiths and Jordan Cobley were also on the scoresheet.

Audlem beat Sandbach Town 5-1 with veteran marksman Andy Betteley and Carl Mese scoring twice. Ben Walker got the other and Jake Holland scored for Sandbach Town.

Honours were even (1-1) between JS Bailey and AFC Talbot drew 1-1.
