A young Premier League football star on loan at Crewe Alexandra is set to visit one of the town centre's most popular venues this week - handing out 30 signed photos.

Arthur Okonkwo will be visiting the Crewe Alexandra RSS pop up shop, within Crewe Market Hall, on Thursday (December 15), from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.

The Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper, currently on loan from Arsenal - will be giving away 30 signed photos to young supporters.

Arthur Okonkwo will be visiting the Crewe Alexandra RSS pop up shop, within Crewe Market Hall, on Thursday (December 15), from 4:30pm to 5:30pm (Kevin Warburton).

The Alex's independent Railwaymen Supporters Society (RSS), officially opened up a pop up shop inside Crewe Market Hall back in September.

The shop is being run by the society's volunteers in collaboration with Crewe Alexandra Football Club.

In October, Crewe defender, Kelvin Mellor, visited the RSS shop and handed out signed photos to fans as well as posing for photographs.

Today (December 14), the RSS announced Okonkwo would be the second men's player visiting their Crewe Market Hall shop.

A social media statement read: "We are delighted to announce Arthur Okonkwo will be joining us in the market hall tomorrow (Thursday between 4:30pm and 5:30pm) for autographs and photos.

In October, Crewe defender, Kelvin Mellor, visited the RSS shop and handed out signed photos to fans as well as posing for photographs (RSS).

"We will have 30 photos for Arthur to sign for the first 30 people."

Since signing in July, Okonkwo has made 18 League Two appearances for Crewe Alexandra.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has solidified his place in the Alex team - even saving penalties in back-to-back matches against Doncaster Rovers and AFC Wimbledon in October.

The Crewe Market Hall RSS shop is open for the following hours this Christmas:

  • 10am to 5pm - Wednesday 14 December.
  • 10am to 7pm - Thursday 15 December (special guest Arthur Okonkwo).
