A popular Crewe town centre entertainment venue is gearing up for its 2022 Christmas Pantomime - kicking off at the end of this week.

Aladdin at Crewe Lyceum Theatre, Heath Street, begins this Friday (December 16) - running until Sunday (January 8).

The 2022 Christmas panto stars TV and dance sensation, Louie Spence, Coronation street star, Jamie Kenna, Channel Five Milkshake presenter, Kiera-Nicole and Crewe's treasured dame, Malcolm Lord.

Last week, Jamie Kenna, spoke exclusively to Nub News about the Christmas production.

The British actor said: ""To be actually starring on the poster at this beautiful Lyceum Theatre - it's a real honour and privilege.

'We have a really fun show. Hopefully it's well supported and audiences enjoy it.

"The cast are brilliant. We don't have much rehearsal time which is a panto tradition.

"Everyone has got on like a house on fire straightway."

Last week, Jamie Kenna, spoke exclusively to Nub News about the Christmas production (Ryan Parker).

Aladdin is filed with traditional panto slapstick, comedy and musical numbers.

Crewe Lyceum Theatre promises the show is suitable for children, parents and grandparents.

On Wednesday (December 14), Crewe Lyceum expressed its excitement towards this year's Christmas production.

Lyceum Director, Rhys Hopkin, told Nub News: "We're thrilled to be working with Imagine Pantomimes to bring the magic of Aladdin to Crewe this Christmas.

"Whether you're a seasoned panto-goer, or if Aladdin is your first visit to us here at the Lyceum, prepare for some serious fun and belly laughs galore.

The first performance of Aladdin at Crewe Lyceum starts at 7pm on Friday - December 16 (Crewe Nub News).

"Our wonderful cast will take you on a very special magic carpet ride."
