Work has commenced on a new Burger King drive-thru development in Crewe, previously approved for a Tim Hortons.

The site has had planning permission for a drive-thru, since Cheshire East Council approved Tim Hortons UK's plans last November.

The former Frankie & Benny's/Gourmet 4 unit has had planning permission fo a drive thru since proposals were approved for Tim Hortons last November (Ryan Parker).

In July, Burger King was given advertisement consent for the former Frankie & Benny's/Gourmet 4 unit, with 21 new signs set to be placed around the site.

The drive-thru is currently being constructed to the side of the 3,250 square foot retail park building, next to TK Maxx.

Alterations are also being made to the existing car park. A potential play area/additional seating inside the Burger King restaurant have been discussed.

This development comes following a recent failed attempt for Burger King to come to Crewe.

In 2021, the American multinational chain was given planning permission to construct a new drive-thru on Market Shopping Centre Car Park.

This fell through in April 2023, when McDonald's purchased the site for £1.4 million. The fast food outlet went on to open its third branch in the town this March.
