Local residents have fumed at "outrageous" plans to turn a terraced property in Crewe into a house of multiple occupation (HMO), as well as converting a garage into residential.
On Monday 12 August, applicant, Mr E Smith, submitted proposals for 185 Ruskin Road to Cheshire East Council.
The applicant has applied for a change of use to the property, wanting to convert it into a HMO.
He also wants to convert a garage to the rear of the dwelling into residential accommodation.
As of the time of publishing, this application has received two objections.
A Ruskin Road resident has claimed people were already living in the property as a HMO without planning permission.
They said: "Ruskin Road is saturated with HMOs and there are no parking spaces for all the cars.
"The building work is finished and people are living in the accommodation so why is the owner of the property only asking for planning permission now?
"It is also outrageous that a garage is going to be used for accommodation."
A Mill Street resident said: "Another HMO to bring with it all the anti-social and other added aspects to this family-based neighbourhood of Crewe."
The last date for submitting comments on the application is Wednesday 11 September, with a target decision date of Monday 7 October.
