Work has started at the site of two former Crewe retail park restaurant chains - with both units being cleared out.
The former Bella Italia and Burger Priest units, Grand Junction Retail Park, have had scaffolding placed around them since Friday 26 May - with workers currently on-site.
Bella Italia permanently closed its Crewe retail park restaurant in July 2020 - after Casual dining Group went into administration.
The Italian eatery had opened alongside Mexican chain, Chiquito, in summer 2015 - which also permanently closed in 2020.
Chiquito was then replaced by Burger Priest, which remained open for just over 12 months until the end of 2021.

Workers told Nub News they were unsure of what is happening with the two former restaurant units.
Property agent, Savills UK, confirmed to Nub News it couldn't "currently" comment on the development - but would keep us "posted" when this changes.
A decision for the proposed Tim Hortons drive-thru, located at the former Frankie & Benny's Grand Junction Retail Park site is expected soon.
