Woman racially abused on train between Crewe and Manchester

Cheshire Police officers are appealing for a woman who was the victim of racial abuse on a train in Manchester to come forward.
Officers received multiple reports of anti-social behaviour from a group of men, travelling from Crewe to Manchester Piccadilly railway station at around 11.15am on Saturday 9 August.
The men were behaving in an anti-social manner towards other passengers; one man subjected a woman to sustained racial abuse.
PC Joshua Naismith said: "An active investigation is ongoing, and we have already identified the man concerned and a number of witnesses. We are seeking to support the woman involved.

"The abuse she suffered was utterly unacceptable and we would very much like to speak to her and progress our enquiries."
She is described as a black woman, around 50 years of age. She was wearing a white dress, with a white headdress.
If you are the woman described or you think you know who she is, please contact BTP via 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 283 of 9 August.
