Cheshire Police officers have confirmed the death of a woman in Crewe, which is not being treated as suspicious.

On Friday 1 December, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a woman on Underwood Lane.

At around 1pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering the body of a woman, believed to be in her 60s.

The woman's death is not being treated as suspicious. A case file is now being prepared for the coroner.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 1pm on Friday 1 December, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a woman at an address on Underwood Lane. 

"Officers attended the scene and sadly a woman, believed to in her 60's, was found dead at the address. 

"The death is not believed to be suspicious, and a case file will be prepared for the coroner."
