Woman 'bitten' by dog while walking with pram in Crewe town centre
Cheshire Police have investigated reports of a woman being bitten by a Yorkshire Terrier - while walking with a pram in Crewe town centre.
The incident on Chester Street, Crewe town centre, happened at approximately 11:30am on Tuesday (January 31).
A woman was walking with a pram past Chester Square Car Park, when a Yorkshire terrier went to attack it.
As the woman swerved the pram out the way, the dog bit her hand. She then called the police.
The victim posted the incident on social media - saying the Yorkshire Terrier belonged to 'traveller's caravans' parked on the Crewe car park.
On Wednesday (February 1), Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News
A spokesperson said: At 11.30am on Tuesday 31 January, police were called to reports that a woman had been bitten by a Yorkshire Terrier, on Chester Street.
"Officers attended and found the woman had a minor graze to her hand which did not require urgent medical treatment.
"Police provided words of advice to the owners of the dog and warned them to keep the dog secure."
