Woman arrested after man assaulted with 'cleaning chemicals' in Crewe domestic incident

Cheshire Police officers arrested a woman in Crewe, following an alleged domestic assault of a man involving "cleaning chemicals."

On Saturday 22 July, Cheshire Police were called to reports of a domestic incident on Pyrus Avenue.

At around 7am, response control officers arrived at the scene, discovering a woman had allegedly sprayed cleaning chemicals into a man's eyes.

On social media, Crewe Police confirmed a woman, found in an "agitated state" was arrested on suspicion of assault.

The 38-year-old has since been issued with a caution and released from police custody.

The man's injuries to his eyes are not believed to be serious.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 7am on Saturday 22 July, police were called to reports of a domestic incident on Pyrus Avenue.

A 38-year-old has since been issued with a caution and released from police custody (Cheshire Police).

"Officers attended and arrested a 38-year-old woman.

"She has since been issued with a caution and released."
