Woman, 55, charged with drink driving following collision in Crewe

A woman from Crewe has been charged with drink driving, following a recent collision in the town.

On Tuesday 14 January, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Valley Road, Wistaston.

At 4.35pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a black Vauxhall Viva and a white MG 3 had collided with each other.

A black Vauxhall Viva and white MG 3 collided with each other on Valley Road, with the Viva driver arrested (Google).

The driver of the Viva, a 55-year-old woman, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving.

Debbie Shufflebotham, of Wistaston, has since been charged with the offence.

Shufflebotham has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 6 February.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At around 4.35pm on Tuesday 14 January, police were called to reports of a collision involving a black Vauxhall Viva and a white MG 3 on Valley Road, Wistaston.

"Officers attended and arrested the driver of the Viva, a 55-year-old woman.

Debbie Shufflebotham, 55, of Wistaston, as been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 6 February (Cheshire Police).

"Debbie Shufflebotham, 55, of Wistaston, has since been charged with drink driving.

"She has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 6 February."
