Woman, 35, arrested after police uncover cannabis farm in Crewe
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis plants, after police uncovered a cannabis farm in Crewe.
At 8.09am on Monday 13 January, Cheshire Police carried out a drugs warrant at an address on Wood Street.
Acting on information provided by the public, officers entered the property, arresting a 35-year-old woman.
Police removed 119 plants, believed to be cannabis, as well as seizing growing equipment and securing the Crewe property.
The electricity had been by-passed and Scottish power attended the location to make it safe.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Crewe Beat Team carried out a drugs warrant on Monday 13 January at an address on Wood Street.
"A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis plants.
"We removed 119 plants, believed to be cannabis, as well as growing equipment before securing the property.
"We hope this reassures you that we do listen, and we do act on information given to us by the public.
