A Cheshire Police helicopter was deployed to support the pursuit of a white BMW across Crewe over the weekend, which got away from officers.

At 10.30pm on Saturday 11 January, police attempted to stop the vehicle on the A534 in Haslington.

The vehicle failed to stop and made off at speed towards Crewe, with the chase continuing past midnight on Sunday 12 January.

A number of Crewe residents witnessed the police chase with the white BMW across the town, including Vernon Way (Nub News).

Around midnight, officers called for the police helicopter to assist them with a search for the BMW in Crewe, but were unable to locate the car.

A number of Crewe residents witnessed the police chase and helicopter across the town, including the Town Centre, West End, and Crewe South, with the aircraft leaving the scene around 12.20am.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 10.30pm on Saturday 11 January, police attempted to stop a white BMW on the A534 in Haslington.

"The vehicle failed to stop and made off at speed. 

Around midnight, Cheshire Police called for the police helicopter to assist them with a search for the BMW in Crewe, but were unable to locate the car (Cheshire Police).

"The police helicopter was called to the scene to assist with a search for the vehicle, but they were unable to locate the car."
