THE days are slowly getting longer and the increased sunlight hours are scientifically proven to make you feel better, it is all the more reason to go out and about in Crewe.

Maybe visit a local park like Queens Park, or have a walk around Joey the Swan. There are also plenty of events going on during the evenings this weekend for you to enjoy.

If your business or organisation is running an event, you can advertise it for free with Crewe Nub News.

With plenty to do in the Crewe area this weekend, here are our top picks:

1. Polish Evening at Crewe Market Hall

Crewe Market Hall has fast become a hub for all sections of the community. And on Saturday evening (February 26) they are celebrating Polish culture with a unique event.

The hall's first Polish Evening will include a Polish treasure hunt for children, quizzes and music featuring DJ Mandriv and Singers.

Sponsors for the night (which runs from 5 to 11pm) include Dwakotry Polski Sklep, The Crewe bakeshop and Octagon.

It should be one not to miss and there are some more details here.

2. Baxter - live at Albert's Corner

Acoustic duo Baxter are around town again tomorrow night (Friday) with a live show at Albert's Corner pub on Prince Albert Street.

It is bound to be an offering of quirky acoustic tunes and ridiculous banter and you can find out further details here.

3. Mind, Body and Spirit Fair

The Market Hall is also the venue for another great event on Sunday from 11am to 5pm.

So get along to the hall if you enjoy browsing among the crystals, candles, jewellery and wood carving stalls or fancy indulging in readings and therapy.

More details can be found here.

Also worthy of mention for the weekend:

The smash hit comedy, 'Friends - The Musical Parody' is at Crewe Lyceum on Sunday night.(February 27) See here for tickets.

There's a VK promotion night at the Cheese Hall in Earle Street on Saturday with free giveaways and DJ Wayne is on from 7.30 pm, while there's a 90s night at the Brunswick (until 2am) on Nantwich Road on Friday with DJ Breeze and Manic MC!
