This weekend we've got a great night of country music with a rising Swedish star of the scene as well as the latest vintage car meet.
1. Ellinor Springstrike at Crewe Market Hall
Yee haw! The Market Hall will be rocking over three-and-a-half hours of good ol' country music tomorrow night (Friday).
It's something of a coup indeed for a country musician with Nashville connections to be on a free bill. So you might have to saddle up quickly to claim a table for what promises to be a night of superb music.
Headliner Ellinor Springstrike's appearance is the latest date on her international tour to promote a recent EP.
She has sharpened her singing talent by working with Nashville producer Jimmy Ritchie, who was enticed to explore the country music scene in Sweden after a DNA kit revealed his Scandinavian ancestry!
Joining Ms Springstrike on the Hall's stage will be Gareth Nugent, Emilia Quinn Music, A Million Ashes and Paul Taylor.
You can read more about the show here
2. 'Off the Rails' classic car meet at Crewe Heritage Centre
This is one not to be missed for the classic car aficionado. The latest 'Off the Rails' event is on Sunday (January 30) at the Heritage Centre in Vernon Way, featuring dozens of classic European and American cars as well as vans, trucks and motorcycles.
It will be a vintage vehicle extravaganza and it also another free admission event.
More details can be found here.
3. Bobcat Billy's Moonshine Mission at Crewe Market Hall
The live entertainment for Saturday night (January 29) on the Market Hall stage is a rockabilly band from Chester. If you liked the Stray Cats back in the Eighties and are partial to combining your Elvis with a bit of Motorhead then Bobcat Billy's Moonshine Mission could be right up your street.
Also worthy of mention for the weekend:
At Crewe Lyceum; Adult Panto - Little Red Riding…! where the Market Theatre Company return to corrupt another fairy-tail classic beyond recognition - that's on Saturday night.
While Covers band SWaY are at the Cosey Club in Haslington on Friday night; and songstress Kelley Tigerheart hits the Market Hall stage on Sunday afternoon (4pm).
