The Crewe PureGym development is being held up by a number of planning issues - more than one-year after initially planning to open in the town.
Last summer, the national gym chain targeted vacant premises at the former MFA Lakeside, Phoenix Leisure Park.
PureGym applied to open 24-hour facility on the town centre leisure park, but was delayed and decided to choose a new Crewe location.
Crewe Nub News readers have been getting in touch - asking what is going on with the development?
In February, the 24-hour gym confirmed that it would be opening on the Grand Junction Retail park - rather than the Phoenix Leisure Park.
A statement on PureGym's website said: "Welcome to our Crewe Grand Junction retail park gym.
"If you're looking for a great-value gym in Crewe with all the latest kit you need to achieve your fitness goals, then stop your search right now."
Why did PureGym change from the Pheonix Leisure Park to the Grand Junction Retail Park?
The reason for this change was the time scale involved for approval.
PureGym had received complaints from local residents in the area of the former MFA Bowl, as well as Crewe Town Council who objected regarding its 24-hour noise pollution.
In March, a planning application confirmed that the UK gym chain would be opening inside unit 13 - formerly occupied by Sofology.
What have PureGym applied for permission to do?
On this planning application submitted to Cheshire East Council, PureGym sought permission for external alterations to the existing retail unit, with the installation of an air conditioning plant in a discreet location.
It applied to increase the structural opening on the East side of the building to allow for a new fire door.
As well as another new fire door, PureGym applied to replace the existing entrance doors with automatic bi-folding doors by Horton Automatics.

Puregym also applied for a change of use for the premises to leisure.
What has been achieved and what is holding up the PureGym development?
On 22 June, Cheshire East Council approved PureGym's external alterations, bi-fold doors, structural changes and its installation of an air conditioning plant.
The planning officer said: "The proposed development is considered to be acceptable in principle and the proposed development will be of a design and size which commensurate with the existing use of the site.
"The development would not have a detrimental impact upon residential amenity."
Despite this approval, the change of use for the premises has not been approved.
Cheshire East Council will consider to access whether a gym is appropriate for a retail park.
Crewe Town Council objected to PureGym's proposals, saying: "The proposal provides for a facility that could otherwise be located within the town centre."
Due to this delay, there is still a possibility that PureGym could make an attempt back at the Pheonix Leisure Park.
