A well-known South Cheshire Tudor mansion has been put up for sale for a figure close to £2 million - complete with a fine-dining restaurant and bar.

The Grade-I listed building dates back to 1577 and has had a variety of uses across six centuries.

Despite opening as a fine-dining restaurant and bar in 2019, Churche's Mansion has recently been listed by Savills as a 'going concern.'

Churche's Mansion provides 200 covers across the ground and first floor - equipped with a kitchen, large garden area and additional trading space.

A description of Churche's Mansion on Savills website, reads: "The Property comprises a detached two storey Tudor building which dates back to 1577.

"Set beneath a pitched tile covered roof the property is of timber construction with oak panelling to the left side is a two storey property which provides four bedrooms, kitchen, living room, playroom and bathroom.

"Externally to the rear is a large garden area providing valuable trading space. To the rear there is a tarmacadam surfaced car park.

"Overall the proposed trading area extends to approximately 0.810 acres."

It was one of only a handful of Nantwich buildings that survived the Great Fire of Nantwich in 1583 - a 20-day blaze that devastated the town.

Churche's Mansion is known as one of the most historic properties in Cheshire.

It has had many uses across the last four centuries - including a family home, a ladies boarding school, a tea room and an antique shop.

The Tudor mansion still retains some of its original features.

Despite opening as a fine-dining restaurant and bar in 2019, Churche's Mansion has recently been listed by Savills as a 'going concern.' (Vicki Diane).

Stained glass windows were added to commemorate the building's 400th anniversary in 1977.

According to Savills, Churche's Mansion has been fully refurbished to an 'excellent standard' and trades as an upmarket restaurant.

Savills website adds: "The ground floor trading accommodation provides three main rooms all with timber and tiles floors and timber beam features.

"There is a bar servery to the right side. To the front and right is a more open formal dining room with doors to the rear and customer toilets.

"The first floor has also been fully refurbished and now provides further space for dining and private dining, together with its own bar."

Churche's Mansion was last sold for a figure of £995,000 in 2018 (Google).

The South Cheshire property is entered in the 2017 Rating List with a rateable value of £21,750.
