Wanted man arrested following police operation in Crewe

A wanted man has been arrested following a police operation in Crewe.

At around 4pm yesterday (Sunday 8 October), the man was sighted by officers in the Hungerford area.

Several officers were deployed to the scene, including the Firearms Unit and the police helicopter, and the man was located at an address on Hungerford Road.

The 36-year-old was arrested on suspicion of breach of a criminal behaviour order, criminal damage and conspiracy to possess a firearm.

A 34-year-old woman was also arrested at the address for assisting an offender.

Both suspects remain in custody at the current time.
