A 'family-friendly' Crewe pub is growing in popularity during the World Cup period - offering a 20ft screen in the town's largest beer garden.

This Crewe pub boasts the town's largest beer garden - showing all night-time FIFA World Cup matches on its new 20ft screen.

"We pride ourselves In being family-friendly pub. Everyone is welcome any time, said Mr Pearse.

On November 11, The Hop Pole showed off its huge new beer garden screen - used for all FIFA World Cup matches played when its dark.

Inside the pub, there will be seven TVs screening the FIFA World Cup matches.

Mr Pearse told Nub News: "We are always safe and welcoming. The atmosphere and vibe here is brilliant.

"The beer garden is the biggest one in Crewe. We have the huge bouncy castle and all the play equipment there for kids.

The Hop Pole has a new 20ft scren located in its beer garden screen - used for all FIFA World Cup matches played when its dark (Ryan Parker).

"Families keep returning because of the safety aspect. Parents and grandparents can have food and relax knowing their children are safe.

"With the 20ft World Cup screen, the feedback has been immense.

"People have had to book for the England USA game. It gives us an option for an extra 300 to 400 and are close to selling out."

The Hop Pole offers an extensive food menu - including burgers, fish and chips, curries, steaks, breakfasts and Sunday roasts.

During the World Cup, the Crewe pub will open at 11am on the day of all England matches.

Mr Pearse said: "During the tournament we are offering World Cup burgers - representing different countries.

"We also have a festive menu out with a huge variety of food.

The Hop Pole will be visited by Santa Clause, Elsa and the Grinch on Saturday (December 10)

It will also be hosting an Ed Sheeran tribute on Christmas Eve.

Mr Pearse added: "The Hop Pole has lots of options for social occasions such as birthdays, gender reveals and funerals.

The Hop Pole promises to always work around its customer's needs (Crewe Nub News).

"We will always work around the customer's needs."

The Hop Pole is open 12pm to 11pm (Monday to Thursday), 12pm to 12am (Friday and Saturday) and operates from 12pm to 10pm (Sunday).
