Cheshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man in the West End of Crewe - as part of an ongoing investigation in the town.
Officers are trying to establish the circumstances of an incident in the town, occurring on the evening of Friday (October 28) on West Street.
At approximately 7:50pm, two girls aged eight and ten were approached by an unknown man.
The man took hold of the eight-year-old girl's arm - trying to get them to cross the road.
PC Ben Harrington said: "As part of our enquiries, we're looking to trace this man as we think he will be able to help us understand what happened that evening and would urge him to get in touch.
"The same goes for anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image."
