Men arrested following 'disturbance' incident involving weapons at Crewe property

Two 21-year-old men were arrested in Crewe, following allegations they had threatened another man with violence and produced a knife a property in the town.

On Saturday 30 March, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident at an address on Gainsborough Road.

At around 8am, specially trained officers, armed with tasers, were deployed to the scene.

Both men in question had fled the Gainsborough Road address, but were later located and arrested on suspicion of affray (Nub News).

Weapons, including a hammer and a knife, were located and seized.

One of the men who was arrested, has since been released with no further action taken against him.

The other man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 8am on Saturday 30 March, we received reports of an ongoing disturbance at a property in the area of Gainsborough Road.

Weapons, including a hammer and a knife, were located and seized (Cheshire Police).

"Allegations were made that two males had threatened another male with violence and produced a knife.

"Crewe Response Team 'Specially Trained Officers (taser), made to the location, and the two males fled.

"After an area search, both males were later located. Weapons, including a hammer and a knife, were located and seized.

"The two males, both age 21, from Crewe, were arrested on suspicion of affray.

One of the men who was arrested, has since been released with no further action taken against him. The other man has been released on bail pending further enquiries (Cheshire Police).
