Two Crewe men arrested after car crashes into wall following police chase

Two Crewe men have been arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent and failing to stop for police, after crashing into a wall in the town.
On Wednesday 11 October, Cheshire Police noticed a blue Peugeot parked on Victoria Avenue with drivers being swapped in the vehicle.
At around 1am, the Peugeot was driven off with officers attempting to immediately the vehicle over.
The driver refused to stop for police, resulting in a pursuit which continued until the Peugeot crashed into a wall and came to a stop on Ruskin Road.
Two men inside the vehicle were arrested at the scene. A police investigation is currently ongoing.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Two males from Crewe were arrested on Wednesday 11 October, following a vehicle failing to stop.
"At approximately 1am, response officers noticed a blue Peugeot parked on Victoria Avenue swapping drivers prior to driving off.
"Officers attempted to perform a traffic stop but the vehicle failed to stop.
"The pursuit continued onto Ruskin Road where the vehicle hit a wall and came to a stop.
"The two Crewe men were arrested for failing to stop for police and on suspicion of taking the vehicle without consent. The investigation is ongoing."
