A television favourite and pantomime star will be among the special guests as Crewe prepares to switch on its Christmas lights for 2026.
Su Pollard, best known for her role in BBC sitcom Hi-de-Hi!, will join the Mayor of Crewe for the annual Christmas Lights Switch on Saturday 28 November.
The big switch-on moment will take place at 6pm in Memorial Square, following a full day of festive entertainment across Crewe town centre.
Residents and visitors can enjoy festive market stalls, children's funfair rides, Santa's Grotto and Christmas crafts at Crewe Market Hall.
There will also be live music and entertainment throughout the town centre.
The entertainment line-up will feature performances from Kelley Tigerheart, Crewe Brass and the Swinging Woodpeckers.
Visitors can also expect appearances from festive walkabout characters Mr Winter Bloom, Inka the Polar Bear and The Living Lampposts.

After the lights are switched on, the celebrations will continue into the evening at Crewe Market Hall with a family Christmas quiz and more live entertainment.
The event will also coincide with the opening celebrations of The Dome Youth Zone, which will take place between 11am and 3pm.
Mayor of Crewe, Cllr Mackay, said: "We are really excited to hold this year's switch on event where I will be recognising the winner of my Mayor's Christmas Card Competition.
"There will be lots to see and do throughout the afternoon, and we look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to celebrate the start of Christmas in Crewe together."
The event is being supported by local business Mornflake.
Managing Director, James Lea said: "The Christmas Lights Switch On is a special event for Crewe, bringing the community together to celebrate the start of the festive season.
"As a local business, we're incredibly proud to support an event that creates a warm, joyful atmosphere in the heart of the town."
The event forms part of A Very Crewe Christmas, a seasonal campaign developed and funded by Crewe BID to celebrate the town, support local businesses and encourage people to visit throughout the festive season.
