Travel retailer to open new shop in Crewe town centre

A travel agency retailer with multiple locations in Staffordshire, Shropshire and North Wales, is set to open in Crewe town centre later this year.

As an independent travel agent, the new Crewe store will take Polka Dot Travel to 16 UK stores.

Jessica Thornhill will be managing the new store assisted by Olivia Evans (Polka Dot Travel).

Polka Dot Travel was created in October 2013 and has continued to grow from the offset.

The first store opened in Oswestry, the founder's hometown, and soon spread to Wrexham, Shrewsbury, North Wales and Staffordshire. 

Polka Dot became famous for the range of holidays it is able to offer, dealing with over 300 tour operators, they can shop around on behalf of the customer.

The old Thomas Cook unit has been empty since the travel agency company went into administration five years ago.

Polka Dot will begin its shop fit on Market Street from Monday 30 September.

Jessica Thornhill will be managing the new store assisted by Olivia Evans. Both Jessica and Olivia have worked previously in Crewe's Hays Travel and formerly 3D Travel. 

Polka Dot Travel aims to launch in mid-november, with an opening date announced shortly (Ryan Parker).

The pair told Nub News they are "very excited" to be back in Crewe and are looking forward to seeing some familiar faces again.

It will be open from 9.15am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
