Crewe pupil sees home of Liverpool FC after writing letter to train operator
Avanti West Coast has enabled a primary school pupil from Crewe to see the home of his favourite football team, Liverpool FC, thanks to a free day out in the city.
Feel Good Field Trips are an initiative designed to give young people the opportunity to enjoy unique and fun learning experiences they wouldn't ordinarily have the chance to do.
Avanti West Coast welcomed pupils from Monks Coppenhall Academy, Remer Street, on the day out to Liverpool.
Ahead of the trip, one of the pupils, Blake Smith, wrote a letter to say how he couldn't wait to see Anfield.
Blake was delighted when he managed to catch a glimpse of the 61,000-seat stadium from the top of the Royal Liver Building.
Community manager at Avanti West Coast, Joanna Buckley, said: "We loved welcoming Blake and his classmates for their day out to Liverpool,
"We are so pleased he got to see Anfield from the top of the Royal Liver Building, especially after he had told us how excited he was to see the home of his favourite football team.
"Feel Good Field Trips is all about giving schoolchildren opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have access to.
"It is heartwarming to know what this experience meant to Blake, and we look forward to taking more young people for an unforgettable day out on the train."
