Thousands of visitors descended on a Crewe park over the extended bank holiday weekend - celebrating the Queen's 70-year anniversary.

The Platinum Jubilee celebration event took place at Queens Park on Friday (June 3).

It was free entry for all to come inside the park, taking place from 11am until 6pm.

There were over 60 stalls of attractions for visitors to enjoy - including two headline music acts.

"The Gospel Truth Soul Band received such a welcoming response from the crowd, and many lovely comments were recieved after the gig.

"We were honoured to be asked to perform at such a great event that will always be remembered as the event that brought people together."

The adult bar was popular, located close to the live music stage (Jonathan White).

Adults enjoyed a bar close to the love music stage with tables and chairs to enjoy a pint.

Food and drink was also on offer, with a hot food stall, hot drink stall, an ice cream van and donut van.

Stall holder at the event, Mandy Arrowsmith told Nub News: "We had a stall on the day and it was a brilliant day. There were loads of people with lots of stalls and things to watch or do.

"People turned up in droves and with their dogs for the dog show."

Mrs Arrowsmith from Crewe, ran the M & J menagerie stall in the craft tent at the event.

She added: "We need events like this for the town folk to enjoy."

The Wheel of Death was a big hit at the Queens Park Platonum Jubilee event (Ryan Parker).
