Former Crewe town centre social club to reopen as event and function venue tonight
A former Crewe town centre social club is all set to reopen as an event and function venue - following a new management takeover.
The former Crosville Social Club, Chester Street, will reopen tonight (June 17).
The venue has been renamed 'The Crozzy', the name it was always referred to in the past.
The grand opening night is held tonight, where 'Electromantics,' the UK's premier 1980's electronica & new wave tribute band - perform at the venue.
The Crozzy has had a full redecoration to bring the venue up to date.
Local band promoter Ryan Mellor said, "I am very excited to be back hosting bands at The Crozzy for the new operators.
"I am looking forward to bringing some of the biggest tribute acts in the UK back to Crewe, whilst covering every genre I can.
"We all need to go out and have a good time listening to our favourite genre."
The Crozzy's three rooms make a versatile venue, giving the people of Crewe a space that can be used for any event.
This can be from gigs and tribute bands for three hundred people - to birthday parties.
The next event is on Friday (July 8), when 90's dance tribute show Ultra 90s come to town.
They will perform the music of Faithless, Prodigy, 2Unlimited, Corona, Snap!, Technotronic, Rozalla, and more.
Mr Mellor is one of the key people at the venue along with the new management that will be taking bookings from mid-June onwards.
