Stretch of major Crewe road fully closed for five working days
A stretch of a major Crewe road is fully closed for five working days - allowing highway improvement works to take place.
Wistaston Green Road, from Middlewich Road to Joey The Swan Car Park (in both directions), closed at 9am on Monday 22 May - reopening at 5pm on Friday 26 May.
A 2.5-mile diversion route is in place, with motorists travelling via: Middlewich Road, Coppenhall Lane, West Street, Victoria Avenue, Queens Park Drive and Moreton Road.
This five-day Wistaston Green Road closure work is being carried out by Argyle NW construction - on behalf of Cheshire East Council.
These works allow the surface layer of the road to be removed - with bell mouths being reinstated at the junctions of Corbetts Close and Brydson Crescent.
A one.network road closure summary reads: "Plane off & reinstate bellmouths at junctions of Corbetts Close & Brydson Crescent.
"Works completed by Argyle NW Construction."
