Stretch of major Crewe road fully closed for five working days

A stretch of a major Crewe road is fully closed for five working days - allowing highway improvement works to take place.

A 2.5-mile diversion route is in place, with motorists travelling via: Middlewich Road, Coppenhall Lane, West Street, Victoria Avenue, Queens Park Drive and Moreton Road.

The five-day Wistaston Green Road closure work is being carried out by Argyle NW construction - on behalf of Cheshire East Council (Google).

These works allow the surface layer of the road to be removed - with bell mouths being reinstated at the junctions of Corbetts Close and Brydson Crescent.

A one.network road closure summary reads: "Plane off & reinstate bellmouths at junctions of Corbetts Close & Brydson Crescent.

"Works completed by Argyle NW Construction."
