A new dessert and retro arcade diner suitable "for every budget" has officially opened its doors in Crewe, creating up to 10 new jobs in the town.

Waffle and More, Nantwich Road, launched at 3pm on Monday 24 June, four months after Kaspa's ceased trading from the Crewe South site.

Established by Mr Alan Wright during Covid times, Waffle and More has grown to its fifth location in Crewe, operated by franchise owner, Puneet.

Seating up to 80 people, Waffle and More serves an extensive waffles, ice creams and sundaes menu, alongside a range of other desserts, milkshakes and smoothies.

It also offers a food menu, including burgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, nachos and fries, vegan options, a children's menu and pick and mix.

Mr Wright told Nub News: "This property became available in Crewe and we went for it. We have been looking for large premises across the UK and up North it is a bit cheaper.

"At Waffle and More, customers can expect value for money, which is our priority.

"All of our arcade machines are free-play. We charge £3.99 for an hour. We are flexible and if it isn't busy people can play longer.

"There are a lot of options customers can have to go into the arcade, such as with a slush, a milkshake and a coffee.

Waffle and More is currently open 10am until 10pm, seven days per week. These times will continue until at least the end of the summer (Ryan Parker).

"We offer private parties for the arcade, allowing customers to have exclusivity to it. We also offer after-school parties with no booking needed.

"We have a good selection of sweet and savoury items. There is also a kids menu with no restriction on it due to the Cost of Living Crisis.

"Customers who come here can spend as much as they went. There is no limit here. We feel there is an option here for every budget. "

Waffle and More has a retro arcade with over 20 machines, including the likes of Dance Dance Revolution, Space Invaders and Street Fighter.

It also offers a number of private party and after-school packages, along with deals for families to enjoy food and its arcade.

Mr Wright said: "We already have sites in Harlow, Hackney, Ipswich and Corby, with Crewe our latest venture.

"We also have the keys for a new store in Worcester and this will open this summer. A new site in Rugby will also open at the end of the summer.

"Waffle and More is really family-orientated. It is a place fun of life and one to enjoy with family and friends. We have a few separate machines that are free to play in the dining area."

"This business is different to the likes of Kaspa's and other dessert chains. There is more variety of food and a brilliant arcade.

"We have heavily invested in our new Crewe store and we look forward to welcoming customers."

Waffle and More has a boxing arcade machine and will run weekly competitions for the person with the highest score winning a food or drink prize.

Franchise owner, Puneet, told Nub News: "I am super excited to run Waffle and More in Crewe. It is my first time operating a business.

"I previously worked as a senior operations manger for Amazon and I have always worked for someone else.

"Ever since exploring franchise opportunities with Waffle and More, I have believed in the concept of this upcoming business.

"The arcade is super. There are so many exciting menu items and it is my job to deliver excellent customer service.

"I have been really eager to get this business up and running in Crewe and can't wait to meet new customers."
