A local care provider has rewarded its care team with a significant wage increase, keeping their pay well above the National Minimum Wage (NMW).

SureCare Central Cheshire, based at 15 Regent House, Princes Court, Beam Heath Way, Nantwich, has been operating successfully for five years this February.

To reflect the hard work and high-quality care they expect of their team, SureCare has increased its hourly rate to £12.60 in the week and £13.70 for evening and weekend work.

SureCare Central Cheshire was established in February 2019 by directors Tina Jones and Kirstie Hercules (Nub News).

Director and joint owner, Tina said: "We are about to see the largest ever increase to the NMW a huge 9.8% increasing the current rate of £10.42 to £11.44.

"This increase is going to put a lot of financial pressure on small businesses in particular, many of which are already struggling with ongoing increases to running a business.

"Whilst this will also be a challenge to ourselves we want to remain as one of the highest paying care companies in the area."

SureCare provides care for those living at home across central Cheshire.

It understands wellness and independence are so important for an individual's quality of life, which is why they have home care at their heart.

Fellow director and joint owner, Kirstie Hercules, said: "We have a great reputation for providing quality care due to the high standards we expect of our team.

Home Carer at SureCare Central Cheshire, Caroline (Nub News).

"We want to recruit more like-minded people who naturally want to care for others.

"People don't have to have experience in working in care as we can teach all of the technical skills required, the thing we cannot teach is how to care as this comes from within."

SureCare's visiting carers provide timed calls throughout the day, loosely based on breakfast, lunch, tea and bed to give those people who are able to live at home do so safely with a little additional support.

Home Carer, Caroline said: "I like working for SureCare because they are very flexible with the rota, working around my other jobs with the hours I want. Working with other carers who really genuinely care for the clients."

If you would like to join Caroline and the incredible care team at SureCare you could be earning:

  • £12.60 per hour Monday to Friday
  • £13.70 per hour for Weekends and after 6pm
  • Paid travel time and paid mileage
  • £250 for referring a new carer with an additional £250 when that carer reaches their 1 year anniversary with SureCare
