Crewe Lyceum has announced TV and West End star, Jennifer Ellison, will join the cast of thie year's Christmas pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk this Christmas.

The former Brookside actress and singer, 41, will take centre stage as the boo-able baddie Poison Ivy, alongside hilarious duo Malcolm Lord and Ste Johnston from 12 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Jennifer made her name as the feisty Emily Shadwick in iconic soap Brookside and on the international big screen as Meg Giry in the spectacular 2004 film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera.

Jennifer Ellison will take centre stage as the boo-able baddie Poison Ivy, alongside hilarious duo Malcolm Lord and Ste Johnston from 12 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 (Crewe Lyceum).

Musical theatre star Jennifer has performed in the West End and tours across the UK including Greatest Days (UK tour), Singin' in the Rain (Palace Theatre, West End) and Legally Blonde (UK tour).

The 2004 Hells Kitchen winner has also starred in Calendar Girls (UK tour) and Chicago (Adelphi Theatre, Cambridge Theatre, UK tour and 10th Anniversary Gala).

Jennifer released top 10 UK hit single 'Baby I Don't Care' in 2003, with second single 'Bye Bye Boy' reaching number 13 in 2004.

Taking to the stage for her sixth year in panto, Jennifer said: "I am delighted to be playing the role of Poison Ivy this year and I am extremely excited to perform at the iconic Lyceum Theatre and spend Christmas and New Year in Crewe."

Theatre director, Graham McKnight, said."We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming the fabulous Jennifer Ellison to the Lyceum Theatre this panto season.

"We can't wait to see her alongside Malcolm and Ste bringing another smash hit pantomime to life for families near and far."
