Famous comedian and actor rates Crewe venue '11/10' for tea-making facilities

By Ryan Parker   31st Oct 2025

A famous English comedian and actor has rated a Crewe venue "11/10" for its tea-making facilities, as part of his 'Tea On Tour' video reviews.

Jack Dee, who performed live at Crewe Lyceum Theatre on Tuesday 28 October, has been rating the spread of tea and biscuits at each venue visited on his 'Small World' tour.

The 64-year-old, who hosts the panel show Sorry I Haven't A Clue and starred in Jack Dee: Live At The Apollo, has also featured in the likes of Shooting Stars, Lead Balloon, Josh, and Bad Move.

When visiting the Crewe town centre theatre, Jack, known for his deadpan, dry humour, was left impressed by the effort the Lyceum had made to make him feel welcome.

In his Tea on Tour video, the 2001 Celebrity Big Brother winner said: "I am at the Lyceum in Crewe and really quite a spread has been arranged for me here.

"As you can see someone has made an effort. It is always nice when people have been watching my 'Tea on Tour' reports and taking it seriously.

"So, I have got Jammie Dodgers, a lovely thing to have. Gorgeous Border Biscuits, I think they must have known that I have recommended them in the past.

"There is a whole Jack's tea pick and mix thing, I guess that's teabags. You have got coffee, you have got everything here.

"There' is a commemorative spoon for me that says 'Tea on Tour with Jack Dee Crewe Lyceum 2025,' isn't that a beautiful thing. And then they have done a whole poem for me.

"I can only say thank you for that, it is an amazing spread. Absolute full out.

"I think that has gone beyond the call, I am saying that is an 11 out of 10., I can't say anything else. Thank you very much."
