A brand new show home has opened at a new retirement living development in Crewe, giving prospective residents the chance to see what life could be like in their new home.

Matilda Court, on Herbert Street, is the latest Retirement Living scheme from not-for-profit provider Housing 21 and has been designed specifically for people aged 55 and over.

Prospective residents and their families are being invited to visit the newly furnished show home and experience the accommodation and facilities available at the development.

Matilda Court features 34 one-bedroom and 13 two-bedroom apartments, all available for social rent, offering modern and affordable homes for older people looking to maintain their independence.

The development also includes landscaped gardens, a communal lounge for residents to socialise and welcome visitors, and the support of a dedicated Local Housing Manager.

The show home has been furnished to help visitors get a feel for the apartments and imagine what living at Matilda Court could be like.

Housing 21 said the scheme could appeal to people considering downsizing, moving closer to friends or family, or simply exploring their future housing options.

The organisation provides Retirement Living and Extra Care housing across the country, supporting older people to live independently in safe, affordable and high-quality homes.
