A Crewe meal preparation business that started life in a home kitchen during lockdown has launched an "easy" new app, as it continues to grow from its expanded Wistaston Road premises.

Prep-D, founded by Andy Bradshaw, is now available on iOS and Android, giving customers a streamlined way to order meals, track nutritional information and arrange delivery or collection.

Andy told Nub News: "We are on iOS for Apple and Google Play for Android. It's been built so that you only need to set up a profile once.

"The only time you would ever have to change your profile again is if you moved address or you found out you had a different allergen. You can't make orders without telling us about allergens."

The app hosts Prep-D's two weekly macro-friendly menus, delivered every Wednesday and Sunday, and includes a full breakdown of calories, protein, carbohydrates and fats for each dish.

Andy said: "Orders cut off at 10pm on Monday for a Wednesday delivery or collection and 10pm on Friday for a Sunday delivery or Monday collection.

"The app has a full listing of the menu, including photos of each dish, as well as macros for it, which is its calories, proteins, carbs and fats.

"It is fully detailed and includes all the nutrition information needed. We spend a lot of time developing it to ensure it is as easy to use for everyone as possible.

"So far, no one has told us they are struggling to use it. If anyone does though, we are always here to help.

"We are really happy with our new app, it has been linked up to Google mapping tools as well so it can figure out our customers' addresses.

"Sunday deliveries to a work address will be made every Monday before 12pm.

"We are focused on local business but now we have this excellent new premises we can deliver to other areas as well.

"Prep-D use local suppliers and it's the locals that have made this business venture succeed so we thank everybody for their continued support."

The launch of the app follows Prep-D opening the doors to its new shop and café in Crewe on Monday 9 February, located at the former Longman's Butchers site.

Customers can collect pre-ordered meals from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm, while a range of freshly prepared grab-and-go meals are available in store until sold out.

Prep-D continues to deliver within a 25-mile radius of its new Crewe premises, with all orders now able to be placed through the new app on both iOS and Android.
